Here we are. In Canada today when in Italy it will be 3.30pm F1 and the FIA have decided to definitively reveal the regulation 2026. The last major regulatory change occurred in 2022 with the return of ground effect, a philosophy that will not be disavowed in the new cycle.
The goal is make cars less bulky to facilitate battles on the track and there is great curiosity regarding what the actual dimensions of the new 2026 F1 cars will be, which will have power units no longer equipped with MGU-H powered by 100% biofuels (the electric part will have a greater weight in terms of power compared to what still happens today).
Another aspect that arouses interest is the possibility that the 2026 cars will be equipped with active aerodynamics which will go beyond the DRS to the rear wing. Judging from the video published by the FIA there will also be a show car as a model for the 2026 rules, a show car which, of course, is equipped with the Halo.
