Octopath Traveler 2 has a surprise release on Xbox and Game Pass, available now

With a strange but decidedly welcome surprise launch, Square Enix has published in these hours Octopath Traveler 2 on Xbox One and Xbox Seriesalso available directly through Game Pass also in the PC version.

The rumors that had emerged in recent days about the arrival of the game in the Game Pass catalog are therefore confirmed, with Square Enix’s excellent Japanese RPG arriving in this format and directly accessible by subscribers to the Microsoft service.

The launch of Octopath Traveler 2 on Xbox is also accompanied by a substantial patch available for all versions, which adds some additional battles after the end of the main story and various changes and improvements made in terms of quality of life.

It is a JRPG with a rather classic layout, which recalls the origins of the genre also through the particular graphic style defined as “HD-2D”which takes up the pixel aesthetic but also takes advantage of 3D, and focuses on the different stories that characterize the various characters of the party.
