His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, at Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi, reviewed a number of environmental initiatives and innovative ideas that contribute to strengthening the UAE’s approach and efforts in the areas of sustainability and preservation of natural resources by encouraging innovation and inspiring initiatives in this field.
This came while His Highness received, on the occasion of World Environment Day, a number of entrepreneurs, youth, and officials concerned with the environment, working to implement innovative initiatives and ideas in the areas of preserving the environment and promoting sustainability.
His Highness listened to an explanation provided by the owners of these initiatives regarding their importance, the possibilities of developing and applying them on a large scale, and the results they achieved.
His Highness praised the importance of such innovative solutions in enhancing awareness of the necessity of preserving and sustaining environmental resources, leading to building a more sustainable and prosperous future.
He said: The initiatives presented by environmental action leaders, whether in the UAE or the world, represent a source of inspiration to exert more effort and work to protect the environment from the challenges it faces.
His Highness stressed that the UAE is keen to ensure that we benefit from all contributions and initiatives in this regard, in addition to enhancing awareness of the role of individuals and societies in confronting the challenge of climate change.
His Highness stressed that protecting the environment and preserving its resources is a collective responsibility, whether in societies or at the global level.
His Highness said: The UAE continues to cooperate with partners to achieve global goals in this field, and to enable the historic (UAE Agreement) resulting from the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) to effective work programs for a better future for all the peoples of the world.” .

On World Environment Day, we reaffirm that protecting planet Earth is a collective responsibility in societies and at the global level, and the UAE will continue to cooperate and participate with all parties for a better future for all peoples of the world.
