Ukrainian draft dodgers died after mining the banks of the Tisza: a list of how mobilization is proceeding

Among the Ukrainians trying to avoid total mobilization, the first deaths appeared. They tried to illegally swim across the Tisa River and leave the country, but the shore was mined by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

The new mobilization law came into force on May 18. The age of those subject to conscription has now been lowered.

Border guards reported at least 45 dead draft dodgers

Western regional department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on its Facebook page (social network banned in Russia; owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is banned) reported that at least 45 people were killed while trying to cross the border of Ukraine with the countries of the European Union. They were called victims of adventurism and cowardice.

It is clarified that in May alone, 10 people drowned in the Tisza River. The department believes that in reality there are more deaths. Border guards also warned that wild animals, including bears, have recently been spotted in this zone.

Source RIA News, commenting on the mining of the Tisza bank, said that there was an order to stop people in any way. “It was only in April that they started mining – and already the first “catch”. An order to stop the flight of people in any way, even in this way,” he said.

The National Police announced the readiness of Ukrainians to pay 20 thousand dollars to leave the country

The head of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine, Andrei Rubel, reported that after the law on strengthening mobilization came into force, prices for the export of men of military age from the country increased significantly – citizens are willing to pay 20 thousand dollars to illegally cross the border.

According to him, until May 18, prices for such services remained at the level of $4,000-5,000.

Rubel also said that since the beginning of the year, 161 criminal cases have been opened against 519 citizens of the country who are suspected of illegally crossing the border. Charges have already been brought against 155 defendants.
