Montreal adds grass in Turn 8

The Montreal circuit is partially getting a new look for the next Formula 1 event. In the Grand Prix on 9 June there will be some changes to the run-off area between turns 8 and turn 9.

As you can see from the images from above – dating back to April – grass has been added to the external escape route.

For riders who arrive long at the braking point, it will still be possible to go on the asphalt, but a lot of time will be lost compared to cutting on the grass. Until last year the escape route was entirely made of asphalt.
