The day after tomorrow, Thursday, registration closes to participate in the Ghanada Sailing Race for the 60-foot class, which is scheduled to start next Saturday, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club. The turnout has been great since the opening. Registration was open last Thursday.
The Ghanada race for 60-foot sailboats, which starts from Aali Al Nouf, and even in front of the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, is one of the important rounds for this category of sailboats in terms of winning major race titles. It is held over a distance of 25 nautical miles, and approximately 25 nautical miles are expected to participate. It consists of 100 loaders, from various emirates of the country, with more than 2,000 sailors on board.
