Leaks are very common nowadays. However, this does not mean that companies are happy with information coming out ahead of time. Now, today, it has been revealed that A Google employee has had access to YouTube videos of Nintendo During the last yearscausing a series of very important leaks.
According to a report by 404 Media, A Google employee accessed private videos on Nintendo’s YouTube account, leaking information before official announcements. However, an internal interview concluded that the activity was “unintentional.” This means that the worker did not directly seek this information, but rather that it came to him by accident, although sharing it with the world was not an accident.
The information provided by 404 Media comes from an internal Google database that tracks thousands of potential privacy and security issues reported by employees between 2013 and 2018. This includes accidental collection of children’s voices, rideshare users’ trips and addresses, and recommendations YouTube has made based on videos that users have deleted from their history.
For now It is unknown if the person responsible for the Nintendo leaks still works at Google. Currently, there is no official statement from the company about this security breach and the way in which the private information of users and various companies could have been compromised.
In the case of Nintendo leaks, many have pointed out that the Google worker could be Pyoro, a leaker with a near-perfect track record and tends to provide information about the content of Nintendo Directs before they are broadcast. However, this person has pointed out that his sources do not come from YouTube. We just have to see how Nintendo will react to this revelation. On related topics, a new Nintendo Store is already under construction. Likewise, this PS5 game could come to Switch 2.
Author’s Note:
This revelation could cause a rift between Google and Nintendo. To combat leaks, we have already seen the Big N cancel pre-orders for its games on Amazon, so it would not be unreasonable to think about substantially reducing its presence on YouTube.
