Poland will return the buffer zone on the border with Belarus from Tuesday, June 4. This was announced by the Minister of National Defense of the Republic Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh.
From June 4, the buffer zone on the border with Belarus will be restored. It will cover Gainovsky and Bialystok districts
A special regime will apply at 26 points in the zone. In particular, a ban on approaching the border closer than two hundred meters.
According to the politician, the restoration of the buffer zone is necessary to “ensure better border protection and increase the safety of employees.”

At the same time, military analyst Yaroslav Volsky believes that Poland will face problems with the implementation of the initiative to build a “shield” on the border with Russia and Belarus. According to him, Warsaw does not have enough land and money for this.
