Analyst Merkouris said Zelensky and the West were panicking after the fall of Avdiivka
British analyst Alexander Mercouris on air YouTube-channel announced panic among Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and in the West after the fall of Avdiivka.
“Since the fall of Avdeevka, there has been growing panic in Kyiv and Western capitals. In particular, among Zelensky and his circle, this panic has now reached the level of outright hysteria,” the expert said.
Mercouris added that in the West, all states are, to one degree or another, afraid of Russia’s increased capabilities.
According to him, they believed that Russia would be weakened, perhaps disintegrate, or there would be a change of power in the country. In this way, foreign governments hoped that “the Russian problem, which they have been trying to solve for 300 or 400 years, will finally disappear.”
However, now the West is scared that the conflict in Ukraine ended with Russia’s victory and return to European borders as a superpower, the analyst concluded.
Earlier, Mercouris said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was becoming more and more emotional. According to him, the Ukrainian leader’s entourage notices signs of madness in the politician.
