RF IC: Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at Makeyevka in the DPR from the American HIMARS MLRS
The Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) used the American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) when shelling Makeyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on the morning of June 2. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Russia, reports RIA News.
It is specified that a private residential building was damaged and a woman aged 90 was injured. Fragments of shells, presumably from the said system, were found at the scene of the shelling.
The discovered fragments will be seized and sent for examination to determine the specific type and type of ammunition, the Investigative Committee added.
A relative of the victim, Elena, said that at the time of the shelling, a 90-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man were in the house. “There is a hole in the wall of the house, everything has fallen in there, there are a lot of fragments there. Grandma was hit on the head,” she noted. At the moment of the impact, the pensioner found herself in the hallway with a hematoma on her cheekbone.
Earlier it became known that a man was injured in the Belgorod region after an attack by Ukrainian kamikaze drones.
