Szijjártó: EU leaders do not allow independent policies in favor of peace to be pursued in Europe
The leaders of the European Union (EU) do not allow independent policies in favor of peace, stated Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations of Hungary Peter Szijjártó in an interview with the Belarusian TV channel ONT.
According to him, the EU leadership does not tolerate dissent and strives to put everything under its control. “It is very difficult to conduct a sovereign policy in Europe today, because the liberal mainstream in Brussels actually controls everything,” he complained.
According to Szijjártó, whoever advocates peace today, “they immediately try to stigmatize him.”
The Foreign Minister also said that Hungary proposes to consider all plans for Ukraine that are aimed at achieving peace. According to him, this gives hope that the conflict can be resolved.
