Weather|Thunderstorms will focus on the southern and central parts of the country on Sunday. The heaviest rains arrive in the afternoon hours.
Sunday continues in terms of rain and thunderstorms of the same type as yesterday. It can rain heavily in places, says the meteorologist on duty Mikko Laine From the Finnish Meteorological Institute to STT.
“Even in an hour, it can rain 20 millimeters in places,” says Laine.
On Saturday, for example, 28 milliliters of water rained in Karvia and 38 milliliters in Kittilä.
According to Laine, the thunderstorms will mostly focus on the southern and central parts of the country on Sunday, while Lapland will remain dustier.
“But actually from there to the south there are deaf people quite generally.”
Largest the rains will probably arrive in the afternoon hours, but for example in the Turku region, Central Finland and Ostrobothnia, thunderstorms have remained overnight.
By Monday, the deaf will calm down and move closer to the eastern border.
“Yes, even at the eastern border, locally, a more powerful deaf person may still hit there tomorrow,” says Laine.
