The Minister of Human Rights and Citizenship, Silvio de Almeida, said this Thursday (30) that he seeks to build a country in which people are not afraid to love. “Despite those who support Brazil, our Brazil is the Brazil of joy. It is the Brazil in which we will ensure that in the future all people are not afraid to love”, he said as he took to the main stage of the 23rd LGBT+ Diversity Cultural Fair, at the Memorial da América Latina, west of São Paulo.
Almeida stated that the event, which is part of the São Paulo LGBT+ Pride Parade calendar, is a moment of “reaffirmation of human rights and citizenship”, as well as the country’s commitment to these values.

The minister then signed a protocol of intentions with Banco do Brasil to establish guidelines that encourage the occupation of leadership positions with diversity of gender and sexual orientation.
“Employability is everything. But how are we going to get a job if we don’t have experience? How are we going to have jobs if there is no possibility of inclusion? How are we going to have a job if we don’t have opportunities? We are here as a public mixed economy bank to give everyone opportunities”, said the bank’s president, Tarciana Medeiros, who also took the stage at the event.
Fair
The fair brought together a large audience that filled the external areas of the Memorial da América Latina, a complex that divides on both sides of Avenida Mário de Andrade. On the stages, a continuous program of cultural attractions, including music, performance and dance.
The space also hosted 200 exhibitors from various segments, such as clothing, decoration, specialized tourism, spa and mysticism, with tarot reading. There are also two food courts.
