XDefiant received positive votes but not too much by the international press, which welcomed Ubisoft’s free-to-play shooter with generally good ratings but also with some limited sufficiency which lowered the average.

A good start, but more could have been done
As we had the opportunity to write in the review of XDefiant, the title co-directed by Mark Rubin already boasts on its debut solid and precise gunplayundoubtedly close to the typical mechanics of the Call of Duty franchise, and this constitutes a substantial advantage.
The problems currently lie in a balance to be reviewed in terms of the characters’ abilitiestime-to-kill, equipment and how they relate to the design of the maps, which are often very open and not inclined to support close combat.
Plus the modes currently available they fail in terms of varietywith three territorial stipulations very similar to each other, a variant of Confirmed Kill and an escort path to be followed both in the attack and defense phases.
