His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee in the Federal National Council, met today, Thursday, in Abu Dhabi, with Radwan Jadot, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of Australia to the UAE.
During the meeting, ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between the two friendly countries were discussed, and the importance attached by the leadership and governments of the UAE and Australia to developing cooperation and partnership relations was discussed, in addition to the importance of consolidating parliamentary relations between the two sides, to contribute to supporting all issues of common interest to both sides. And pushing various cooperation relations, especially economic, investment, scientific and renewable energy, to broader horizons, in order to achieve the common future aspirations and visions between the two friendly countries and peoples, especially since the UAE is Australia’s largest trading partner in the Middle East.
His Excellency Al Nuaimi also addressed the UAE’s efforts aimed at consolidating bridges of cooperation and effective and balanced partnership with countries of the world, promoting the values of tolerance and human coexistence, rejecting hatred, and combating extremism and terrorism.
The Australian ambassador said that his country looks forward to strengthening and developing cooperation relations with the UAE in all fields, especially economic, cultural and tourism.
The meeting was attended by members of the Friendship Committee with the Parliaments of European Countries, including: Sarah Muhammad Falaknaz, Chairman of the Committee, Khaled Omar Al-Kharji, and Sheikha Saeed Al-Kaabi, members of the Federal National Council.
