While we are still here waiting to find out the release date of the remake of Silent Hill 2 of Bloober Team, which should drop in 2024 (if all goes well), we discover the work of Shirbler, an artist who wanted to mix the Konami game with the LEGO, achieving a truly excellent result, so much so that many fans are asking for it to become a complete product. Of course they know that it is very difficult for it to happen, but wishing costs nothing.
Silent Hill 2 is considered one of the horror games most influential ever, admired and cited by many subsequent titles and still remembered today for its enormous qualities, including the splendid atmosphere, as well as very suitable characters for a profound and exciting story. Shirbler wanted to create a crossover with LEGO that respected the original as much as possible, creating disturbing images, despite their stylistic lightness. After all, we are still talking about LEGO.

Protagonist of the images and obviously James Sunderland, remade in LEGO style, wearing his famous jacket while holding a flashlight. In one image we see him outside, around the city, while in the next he ends up face to face with Pyramid Head, the most iconic creature of the game, as well as of the entire series. Shirbler’s work, while limited, not only showcased his abilities, but also resonated with fans of the series, who now want to play something similar.
“I would definitely play it, well done,” you can read in one comment, while another expressed his disappointment that it was just an amateur image: “I hate you for making me think there was a LEGO game of Silent Hill”. “Just imagine if Lego Dimensions still existed and you could do this lol,” exclaimed another comment, referencing the canceled 2017 title, which is made up of several worlds done in LEGO style.
That said, would you like a LEGO version of Silent Hill 2? It probably wouldn’t be very scary, but it would still be an interesting tribute to what is rightly considered a great classic.
