Guadalajara.- The State Council for Sports Promotion has confirmed that a group of young athletes and its coachesall participants in the CONADE 2024 Nationals in the archery disciplineexperienced a serious incident in one of the elevators from his hotel in Guadalajara.
Eight underage athletesaccompanied by two adult coaches, boarded a elevator that, due to overflow, fell from the fifth floor.
Fortunately, the elevator emergency brake system activatedthus avoiding more serious consequences.

Guadalajara, Jal., May 26, 2024.- In relation to the incident recorded inside the Aranzazu hotel due to the collapse of an elevator, the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports, reports that the eight athletes and two coaches participating in the Nationals CONADE who boarded the elevator are out of danger.
According to the preliminary report from the authorities, the elevator collapsed between the fifth and second floors, where the emergency brake was activated.
Minutes later, members of the emergency services managed to free the occupants, confirming that none of them had serious injuries and they were only treated for a nervous breakdown.
However, both the athletes and the coaches were transferred to the México Americano hospital to be evaluated and rule out any internal injury, while the CONADE personnel commissioned to said headquarters accompanies the athletes to provide all the necessary support according to instructions from the head of the federal agency, Ana Gabriela Guevara.
