“They have been away from home for a month, away from the family, mentally a little fatigued. By following a very strict diet, once they get home they do whatever they want for a week. There is no rebound effect or anything like that, they simply eat what they want and once they have rested mentally and physically and from the diet, we return to it when more or less passes, between four or five days and a week. ”he declared.
The nutritionist spoke about the loss of kilos after a competition as demanding as the Giro and his response is surprising.
“None, they stay the same. That is why nutrition is so important, because we try to ensure that they arrive at the Giro with the best possible body composition and that during all stages they maintain that weight and do not lose it as happened before,” he stated.
