Filipe Barros justified his speech by saying that if he were Bolsonaro’s minister “this wouldn’t be happening”
The federal deputy Filipe Barros (PL-PR) got confused and called the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, named after his predecessor, Paulo Guedes. The moment took place during a hearing of the Finance and Taxation Committee of the Chamber of Deputies this Wednesday (May 22, 2024).
Barros questioned Haddad about the deficit of almost RS 1 trillion in public accounts, as shown in the Power360and about an alleged favoritism by the United States government in favor of a “green agenda”.
“So, Minister Paulo Guedes. Minister Fernando Haddad. It could be Minister Paulo Guedes, if it were we would be much better off”he stated.
The other deputies laughed at the confusion. “I miss Paulo Guedes”; “That’s fixation, huh, Filipe” It is “Respect the minister, deputy” were some of the lines that followed.
Filipe Barros resumed speaking and said that, if he were the Minister of Economy in the government of the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), “That wouldn’t be happening”.
