The Renault 5 E-Tech Electric range can count up to five setups by the end of next year. And it is the Losanga car manufacturer itself that lists them: Five, Evolution, Techno, Iconic Cinq and the Roland-Garros special edition. But all of it it will happen gradually: the opening of orders initially concerns the Techno and Iconic Cinq versions, equipped with a 52 kWh “comfort range” battery capable of reaching a range of up to 410 km WLTP, while in 2025 the opening of orders will extend to all the versions.
Two versions, two batteries
In addition to this battery, there will be another one available in the range, the smaller “urban range”, with 40 kWh and a range of up to 300 km: it will be marketed in 2025 on models with an entry price starting from 25,000 euros, excluding state incentives. The opening of orders initially concerns the versions of Renault 5 E-Tech Electric equipped with the largest battery, therefore Techno and Iconic Cinq: both are equipped with a new 150 HP electric motor, a new 11 kW AC bidirectional charger which offers V2L charging and will do the same with V2G charging in the future, and a DC charger to connect to fast charging stations. In the latter case, with a peak of 100 kW DC, approximately 30 minutes to recharge R5 E-Tech Electric from 15% to 80%.
The Renault 5 E-Tech Electric range
As already anticipated by Renault, the owners of R5 R Pass they will be the first to be able to order the Renault 5 E-tech Electric in the Techno and Iconic Cinq versions equipped with a 52 kWh comfort range battery. “Contacted by the Renault dealer they chose when purchasing the R5 R Pass, they can count on a period of 10 days (until 30 May included) to configure and order the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, and will thus be among the first to receive it”, the company says. Starting from May 31st, however, orders will be open to the publicclearly in the two versions mentioned above.
Up to five installations in 2025
For the launch of the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, customers will be able to choose between five body colours: Pop! Yellow, Pop! Green, Night Blue, Nacré White and Etoilé Black. Furthermore, they will be able to configure their car by choosing from a complete range of 104 accessories. To complete this, customized stripping for the roof and front doors will be available externally in two versions, each in two colours: NumbeR5 in red and black and Unlimited 5 in gold and silver. Final note on prices: in the Techno comfort range version with 52 kWh battery, the new Renault 5 E-Tech Electric is available starting from 32,900 euros government incentives excluded. That said, the car can benefit from the 2024 state incentives soon to be introduced: in the event of scrapping, in fact, the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric Techno will be available starting from 21,900 euros.
