Migraine open day in the network of pink label hospitals of Onda, the national observatory on women’s and gender health. On the occasion of the National Week dedicated to headaches, on Monday 27 May the Foundation involves its network to offer free clinical-diagnostic and information services including neurological visits, consultations with experts, evaluation tests, info points, conferences and distribution of material dedicated.
Migraine is a chronic pathology that affects approximately 12% of adults worldwide, with a prevalence three times higher in women, recalls Fondazione Onda in a note. According to the World Health Organization, it is the third most frequent disease and the second most disabling, thus entailing a very high human, social and economic cost.
The objective of the (H) Migraine Open Day, now in its second edition, is to raise awareness among the population of the importance of early recognition of symptoms for timely access to diagnosis and treatment paths for a better quality of life for patients.
