Young man is convicted of murdering his mother to take away her savings

A shocking case shakes Medellín, Colombia, where Arley Antonio Giraldo Durango was accused of having murdered his own motherwho was 60 years old and worked as a dressmaker.

The Attorney General’s Office presented irrefutable evidence that demonstrated his responsibility in the death of his mother and the theft of her belongings, including one million Colombian pesos that he kept in a piggy bank.

The success in the capture and conviction of Giraldo Durango is due to the hard work of the National Police, who collected crucial evidence for the case. The verdict of the trial indicated a sentence of 18 years and 10 months in prison after being found guilty.
