Coffee Stain has announced the availability of Songs of Conquest in version 1.0 for PC and Mac after two years of early access. The fantasy strategy game will also arrive on Playstation and Xbox in autumn, on a date yet to be determined. For those who don’t know it, it’s a strategy game with strong role-playing elements that looks a lot like Heroes of Might and Magic. Since this latest series has been on hold for years, fans will be happy to finally have a valid alternative.
The novelty introduced with version 1.0 are really many. Let’s read them:
- New playable campaign exploring the history of the Barya merchant faction.
- General improvements to the game and enemy AI.
- Introduction of simultaneous turns and improvements to siege battles.
- Full gamepad support and verification for Steam Deck.

- Improvements to user-created content and mods.
As specified in the official press release, the new Barya campaign will also be available on the console version of Songs of Conquest releasing in Fall 2024. News on the console versions will be shared in the coming months.
