After several months with high levels of contamination, the Tijuana beaches were once again suitable for recreational activities thanks to the downward trend in contaminants, according to reports from the Border Environmental Project.

This is because the enterococci found per 100 milliliters of water dropped from 1,126 to only 20. Something similar occurred in places such as Parque México, Cañada Azteca and EL Vigía, where the presence of pathogens is scarce compared to the sampling done in previous months. Therefore, the population can now enter the sea without fear of contracting a disease.
