Ramallah (Al-Ittihad)
The Israeli army said that Israeli settlers attacked a truck and set it on fire in the occupied West Bank yesterday evening, wounding its driver.
The army added that the forces that arrived at the site to separate the settlers from the Israeli driver were attacked and three soldiers were slightly injured.
The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported that the protesters believed the truck was carrying aid to Gaza. She added that the army denied this. This happened days after aid trucks heading to the Gaza Strip were looted by Israeli protesters.
The Israeli police announced on Tuesday that they had opened an investigation after settlers stopped and looted at least 7 humanitarian aid trucks heading to Gaza. The attack targeted a convoy coming from Jordan near the Tarqumiya crossing in the occupied West Bank.
