iPhone 16 Pro Max will be equipped with one improved batterycapable of offering a greater autonomy thanks to cells equipped with an increased energy density despite the same dimensions: this is reported by the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
Based on information obtained from the Apple device production chain, Kuo claims that the battery we will find on the iPhone 16 Pro Max will include high density cellswith “the advantage of offering longer battery life at the same size or the same battery life at a smaller size.”
According to the analyst, the Cupertino house is using it for the first time a stainless steel casing for thermal efficiency purposes, to avoid overheating of the battery: a solution not as effective as aluminium, but more robust and less subject to corrosion.
That’s not all: a steel casing would also make it easier removing the batterywhich is part of the European Union’s requirements regarding the possibility of replacing mobile phone batteries in the future.
According to Kuo’s information, Sunway will be one of the main suppliers of stainless steel battery cases. Should the iPhone 16 Pro Max design prove efficient, the analyst imagines that Apple will also adopt the same solution on subsequent models starting from iPhone 17.
Big news on the horizon?
As every year, the presentation of the new iPhones is scheduled for next September and it will therefore be then that we will discover what the characteristics of the devices belonging to the iPhone 16 family will actually be.
For the moment, the first renderings of the compatible cases seem to confirm a big news, namely the introduction of the Capture button: a new type of action button that will allow you to directly control the camera, without having to use the screen.
