Amazon Prime Video has already confirmed a Season 5 for The Boysjust before the launch of Season 4 which is set to start in a month, thus giving a more distant horizon to the television adaptation of Garth Ennis’ graphic novel.
Evidently, the upcoming season will not be enough to exhaust the overall story, so we can already prepare for Season 5, although this is obviously still quite far away at this point. It also seems that Season 5 is not intended to represent the conclusion of the series either, so it is likely that there will be at least one more season to follow.
On the other hand, showrunner Eric Kripke seems well intent on moving forward with the job: “The Boys might be the best job I’ve ever had,” Kripke reported about it. “What other show would allow me to write about politics, capitalism, family and exploding genitals? Although maybe not in that order.”
Gen V also continues
The cast and crew are very grateful to Sony and Amazon MGM Studios, Kripke also said, commenting on the news of the renewal for another season, which apparently will probably be followed by another one later.
Meanwhile, The Boys Season 4 will begin on June 13th with three new episodes, while the others will be put online on Prime Video on a weekly basis until July 18th. Considering the standard timing seen so far, The Boys Season 5 could be released in 2026.
The spin-off series of The Boys, or Gen V, also continues, which has received confirmation of a second season, which will probably arrive during 2025, in order to maintain a constant pace between one series and another.
A few days ago we saw the new trailer for The Boys 4 full of violence and political tensions, while as regards Gen V it was announced that the spin-off of The Boys will not replace Chance Perdomo after his death.
