The Securities and Commodities Authority and the Dubai Economic Security Center organized the “Second Training Course for Capital Market Development,” within the framework of activating the memorandum of cooperation signed between the two sides, and to achieve their goals of protecting investors’ rights, improving the safety of transactions, and building a reliable and sustainable investment environment in the country.
The session, which lasted for 3 days at the authority’s headquarters in Dubai, was attended by 30 judges, advisors, members of the judiciary and specialists in the field from the Dubai Economic Security Centre, the Dubai Courts, the Dubai Public Prosecution, the General Secretariat of the Supreme and Legislation Committee in Dubai, the Dubai Financial Services Authority and the Dubai Market. Financial, Dubai Company, and Dubai Clearing and Central Depository Company.
Dr. Maryam Butti Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Authority, said in her opening speech that the program is being held in light of the directives of the Council of Ministers and the wise government towards strengthening joint initiatives and efforts between federal and local government agencies, to achieve the desired integration in completing transactions and building a safe and stable investment environment, noting the importance of Consolidating the efforts of the regulatory authorities and concerned parties in the country to develop the best supervisory and regulatory practices in light of the global economic and financial challenges.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Ghafri, Chairman of the Law Enforcement Committee in the Financial Markets of the Emirate of Dubai, said that the course comes to complete the journey of cooperation with the Securities and Commodities Authority by preparing a specialized training program for members of the various legislative, judicial and executive authorities from the Emirate of Dubai, with the aim of achieving the principles of governance. Enhancing transparency in financial markets and exchanging experiences and knowledge among participants.
