As you may know, Game Freak and The Pokémon Company occasionally give away Pokémon to players Pokémon Scarlet and Violet based on special events and competitions. This time you can add to your collection a Gyarados designed for online battles, which can be yours for a limited period of time thanks to a promotional code.
Specifically, the password to enter with the Secret Gift function is “GYARAD0S2023SG“, which will only be valid until June 30th.
The Gyarados in question is based on the specimen used by Melvin Kehthanks to which he triumphed in the 2023 Singapore Championships and consequently has statistics, skills and moves designed for specific strategies in battles with other online players.
In particular, the Pokémon is level 50, has a Cautious nature, the Steel Teratype, the Guava Berry consumable tool, the Arrogance ability and the moves: Waterfall, Thunderwave, Provocation and Protection.
If that’s not enough for you, know that a Special Quaxly based on the one Dot has, one of the characters from the Pokémon Horizons animated series, which will begin distribution on May 19th. Obviously we will report the code to redeem it on our pages as soon as it is made available.
How to redeem the code
To redeem the Gyarados code, as well as all the others given out by Game Freak and The Pokémon Company, it is necessary to use the Secret Gift function of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
To use it you will have to connect your Nintendo Switch to the Internet and choose the “Poképortale” item from the game menu and then select “Secret Gift”. A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not required. Once done, choose the “By serial code/password” option and enter the code shown above. Once this step is completed you will get your gift.
