Henry Martín’s negative reaction to his withdrawal from the Mexican National Team

Last Friday Jaime Lozano presented his pre-list for the Copa América, where several big names, players popularly called “sacred cows” were left out of the most important tournament on the continent.

The most striking casualties were those of Guillermo Ochoa, who refused to be a substitute, Hirving Lozano and Raúl Jiménez for sporting reasons and Henry Martín for no apparent reason, so much so that the América striker would have had unfriendly contact with Jaime Lozano.

According to information from the MedioTiempo portal, after ‘Jimmy’s’ decision, Henry picked up the phone to call the coach and find out the reasons for his withdrawal from the Mexican National Team. However, the talk would have been far from cordial, since the national forward’s demands were very harsh, accompanied by high-sounding words.

From Martín’s perspective, he has done enough merit with his club on the field to be on the final list and not be dropped from the Copa América.

The decision is worthy of attention, because since Lozano has been coach of the Mexican National Team, no other forward has had as many minutes in the center of the attack as the man from America, who also, in the last Olympic Games, was chosen by Jaime himself as one of the three reinforcements over the age limit.
