Head of the Hydrometeorological Center Vilfand: temperature in Moscow will return to normal on May 15
After frosts and snowfall, warmth will return to Moscow; temperatures in the capital will return to normal on Wednesday, May 15. This was stated by the head of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand, his words are quoted by Interfax.
He clarified that the return of warm weather will affect not only residents of Moscow, but also the central part of Russia. An anticyclone will cover this region, resulting in favorable conditions with minimal precipitation.
In the middle of next week the air in Moscow will warm up to 10-15 degrees Celsius. On Thursday the temperature in the southern part of the Moscow region will rise to 17-18 degrees. By the next weekend, the thermometer will be consistently above 15 degrees, Vilfand concluded.
Earlier, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a specialist at the Moscow Meteorological Bureau, predicted the imminent return of heat to the capital region. According to her expectations, May warmth will return in mid-May. At the same time, the specialist found it difficult to answer how active the warming will be. However, already in the second half of the month, according to the meteorologist, the weather will compensate Muscovites for “suffering during the May holidays.”
