Game Informer posed numerous “quick questions” to Greg Kasavin and Amir Rao, creative director and studio director respectively at Supergiant Games, regarding thesetting et al gameplay Of Hades 2.
Featured on the cover of the next issue of Game Informer, Hades 2 takes place narratively long after the events of the first chapter and sees the arrival of a new protagonist, Melinoe, sister of Zagreus, committed to defending Olympus from the threat of Chronos.
Just like in the original Hades, the development team took the liberty in this case too reinterpret Greek mythology in a modern keyintroducing characters such as Zeus, Aphrodite and Hera but also lesser-known deities such as Selene, the personification of the Moon.
Gameplay-wise, the game includes new weapons to unlock throughout the campaign, each equipped with different special moves, as well as power-ups that allow you to customize your fighting style. There are also several new scenarios compared to the first episode.
Future prospects
Capable of reaching over 100,000 contemporary players on Steam, Hades 2 has begun a journey in early access which will allow Supergiant Games to enrich, improve and refine the experience thanks to the feedback provided by users.
In particular, the development team is still working on aspects such as the story, the endings and the general balance, while a exit date official for the final version of the game, which should also arrive on consoles.
