(Adnkronos) – “Radiomics currently has applications mainly dedicated to oncology. There is certainly still a study component. I work in a research structure, which is the Cancer Institute of Milan, and we apply a lot of radiomics which, starting from normal diagnostic images, is able to obtain and analyze a series of data that the human mind is not capable of able to analyse.” This was explained by Alfonso Marchianò, president of the scientific committee of the 51st Sirm National Congress – Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology, on the sidelines of the press conference organized in Milan by the scientific society and entitled ‘Earlier and more precise diagnoses to better use therapies: it is radiomics, the new frontier of medical radiology”.
