Red Bull driver and three-time world champion Max Verstappen won the second speed race held this season on the sidelines of the Miami Grand Prix within the Formula 1 World Championship.
The dominance of the 26-year-old Dutch driver continued, as he started from first place and continued on his way to victory, without any significant competition, beating Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc by 3.371 seconds.
Thus, Verstappen maintains his unbeaten record in Miami, and strengthens his lead in the overall drivers’ standings, ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez, who finished the race third.
“The start was not good, so I had to put some pressure on him (Leclerc),” Verstappen said. “Fortunately, things went well in the first corner, it wasn’t perfect, so we still have some work to do, but it’s good to get the win, I’m happy about it, and it gives us a few good points to improve on.”
