A strategic plan for South America with which to “consolidate leadership in decarbonisation of mobility and expand its presence in the region's markets.” These are the good intentions presented in recent days by Stellantis, and which are part of the global Dare Forward 2030 plan.
The 6 pillars of the “Next Level” plan
Christened “Next Level”, the strategic plan consists of six pillars: business acceleration, customer experience, operational excellence, decarbonisation, finance and people, with the attraction of talent to strengthen the company as a mobility technology company.
The president of Stellantis in South America, Emanuele Cappellano
“One of the characteristics of Stellantis in South America is to have very strong leadership, which entails the responsibility to lead the industry towards the technological transition and the evolution of mobility in the region.”
A pharaonic investment
Among other things the “Next Level” plan comes just a month after the announcement of a pharaonic investment by ben six billion euros which will be sent to Brazil and Argentina over the years next 5 years, between 2025 and 2030, and which represents the already large investment ever made in Latin America. Of these 6 billion, 2.3 will be used to build the Goiana automotive center in Pernambuco, while others 400 million will be used to produce a Peugeot SUV – we still don't know which one – in Argentina.
