Formula Racing will participate in the next 24 Hours of Le Mans in place of the Spirit Of Race team.
With just under two months to go until the biggest event of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship season, teams and drivers are starting to organize themselves to travel to the Circuit de la Sarthe, where it will take place in the week of 12-16 June.
The Danish team, which had taken part in the French classic in 2016 for the first time, had been included among the reserves ready to take over in the event of withdrawal by an LMGT3 Class team.
This was the case of Spirit Of Race which, following an invitation granted by the FIA and ACO, was supposed to take to the track with the Ferrari 296 GT3 #155 driven by David Perel, Matt Griffin and Duncan Cameron, but which for reasons not yet disclosed chose to raise the white flag by giving way to Formula Racing.
Here is the Ferrari #52 of the team fresh from victory in the LMGT3 category in the first event of the European Le Mans Series which took place a couple of weeks ago on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with the Maranello official, Nicklas Nielsen, alongside Conrad and Johnny Laursen.

“It's huge news and a bit unexpected, given we were on the reserve list. Le Mans is the biggest motorsport event in the world and a race that all closed-wheel car teams dream of winning, including us, so we are proud and excited to be on the entry list for the second time in our history,” said Team Principal, Allan Jørgensen.
Formula Racing will inherit not only the seat, but also the name of the previous entry, so it will compete under the name of Spirit Of Race and under the Swiss flag.
The two Laursens are obviously very confirmed at the wheel, while for the third driver we will have to wait for further developments, given that Nielsen is busy with the 499P in the Hypercar Class.
We remember that the veteran Johnny won the Ferrari Challenge and the ELMS title, while the very young 17-year-old Conrad, who has also trod the asphalt of Italian tracks in F4, has already reached the podium several times.

“The 2024 season started off great with a victory in the first ELMS round, but it is obvious that Le Mans will be much more difficult – says Conrad Laursen – We have a strong team behind us and we can't wait to get to France and represent Denmark in the most important match in the world”.
Johnny adds: “We are proud to have the chance to compete for the second time at Le Mans, which this year ushers in a new era for GT3 cars. We have already made a name for ourselves among the world's elite in ELMS thanks to the team that we have grown and I am firmly convinced that we will be able to leave our mark at Le Mans too.”
