F1, nothing done on the expansion of the points zone
For the expansion of the points zone to the top 12 of the grand prix, the smaller teams will have to wait longer. This is what emerged from the second meeting of F1 Commissionheld today at the FIA offices in Geneva with some remote interventions and chaired by the FIA single-seater director Nikolas Tombazis and the President and CEO of Formula 1 Stefano Domenicali.
Members of the F1 Commission have discussed a proposal to change the points distribution of the World Championship to allow 12 drivers to move their rankings, but further analysis will be needed with a view to being presented at the July meeting.
