Habeck claims to have known nothing. Or is he playing the citizens for fools? Georg Anastasiadis comments on the warnings that have now become known from the Ministry of Economics about a hasty nuclear phase-out.
Blessed is the one who has a scapegoat just in case! Patrick Graichen, the state secretary of Economics Minister Robert Habeck who was fired after allegations of fiddling, is now also said to be the culprit who prevented Habeck from learning about his ministry's warnings about a hasty nuclear phase-out. Although in-house experts had pointed out the risk of an electricity shortage as a result of the Ukraine war, the allegedly clueless Green Climate Minister then switched off the last three reactors on April 15, 2023.
Nothing was more important to the Greens than the nuclear phase-out
At least that is the story that Habeck is now serving up to the astonished public. Until the magazine “Cicero” successfully sued for the publication of ministry files, they only knew rumors about the clandestine goings-on in Habeck's department. Common sense has always suggested that it is not a good idea to forego a proven and safe energy source in the middle of Putin's gas war against Germany. However, the accusation has now been proven for the first time that the ministry leadership was warned by its own officials, but ignored it, deliberately jeopardized Germany's security of supply and misled the public about it. Nothing was more important to the Greens than achieving their lifelong dream. That's why citizens were told that an “open-ended” and, no joke, “transparent” review process had shown that there were no concerns about phasing out nuclear power. Anyone who believes that Graichen did not inform his close friend and Minister Habeck about the critical voices still believes in the Easter Bunny.
Now it is clearly documented, even for those who are ignorant: The traffic light not only broke the constitution with its budgetary tricks, but also pushed through the nuclear phase-out, which the Greens did by hook or by crook, using only half-truths and accepting risks to national energy security. Governments have already resigned for minor misconduct. How much longer do the Chancellor and his ministers actually want to walk around the country with their long Pinoccio noses?
