The reboot of Perfect Dark It is one of the most anticipated projects from Xbox Game Studios. Unfortunately, the developers have remained silent about this title in recent months. Fortunately, New information from a job application has revealed a couple of interesting insights.
To begin with, a job offer for the position of Technical Art Director at The Initiative, the studio in charge of the reboot, has revealed that the new Perfect Dark will have a Quality and Performance mode. Likewise, the LinkedIn profile of Adam Lawson, former senior animator at Crystal Dynamics, another of the studios behind the project, states that the game will feature both “synchronized” and “unsynchronized” hand-to-hand combat.
This is a strange decision, and something we don't see much of these days. “Synchronized” combat refers to the animations between the main character and NPCs at the time of a fight. By activating this option, the player will be able to see much more detailed choreography, while by deactivating it, the animations will be basic.
Unfortunately, at the moment there is no more information on this. Xbox, The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics have remained silent on this project for a long time. While at first there was only negative news about this development, The last thing we heard sounds positive.. On related topics, the new Perfect Dark would be a remake. Likewise, there is still a long way to go before the game comes out.
Author's Note:
The inclusion of “synchronized” animations as an option is a bit strange, but it's something that will probably give us an idea of the type of game that's in development. So it is not ruled out to see levels focused on completing them as quickly as possible.
