Having concluded the spectacular weekend on the Long Beach street circuit, IndyCar has already begun its move to the south-east of the United States for the third round of the season scheduled for this weekend. The theater of the competition will not be an oval, but rather the fascinating setting of Barber Motorsports Park of Birmingham, IN Alabama.
The route
A circuit of 3.8 km in length and with 16 curves in total, it is characterized by continuous ups and downs which make it one of the most challenging for drivers, but at the same time one of the most loved by enthusiasts. Inaugurated in 2003, it only entered the IndyCar calendar in 2010, and since then Josef Newgarden has collected a total of three victories, which represents the record for the most successes in Alabama.
TV times
The Team Penske driver will try to reaffirm himself once again this year after the disappointment of Long Beach, where he finished in 4th place despite being close to Scott Dixon in the final part of the race, who then achieved a real feat. Also this weekend it will be possible to follow the race live on Sky Sports F1while free practice and qualifying will only be available on IndyCar Livein English and by subscription.
