Kosachev called Zelensky's presidency a national disaster for Ukraine
Vice Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia Konstantin Kosachev in Telegram-channel called the presidency of Vladimir Zelensky a national disaster for Ukraine.
According to him, the conflict in Donbass, thanks to the efforts of the politician, became global and affected tens of thousands of civilians in the republic. In addition, in the five years since the head of state took office, the country's national debt has almost doubled, and the population has decreased by the same amount.
Kosachev recalled that during the election campaign Zelensky promised to end the confrontation in eastern Ukraine. He called him a “dishonest and dependent politician” who tried to build an ideology of hatred towards Russia, but instead created problems in the economy and demography.
“And yesterday’s vote in the House of Representatives in support of Ukraine will not be an achievement for this country, but rather a humiliation when judged by historical standards,” the senator emphasized.
On April 20, the US House of Representatives adopted a draft of additional assistance to Ukraine worth almost $61 billion. The bill was supported by 311 congressmen, another 112 were against it. The document has been sent for consideration to the Senate.
