Nexus Mods, the reference portal for the modder scene, has recorded heavy congestion in recent days, due to too many user accesses. Needless to say, this is one of the side effects of series TV's Falloutwhich is pushing many to look for mods for the various games in the video game series, whose sales have skyrocketed in the last week.
The news was communicated by the administrators of the site itself, who clearly said what the source of the problem is: “We are having much more traffic than usual due to the popularity of the Fallout TV series. We have deployed extra resources where possible and are monitoring the performance of the entire network.”
From the message it is easy to imagine that there are currently a multitude of people who are downloading Fallout modprobably also the ones that add a bit of the TV series to the games.
Overall, accessing Nexus Mods appears to be possible, although downloads and browsing are really slow. The situation should return to normal in the next few hours (the weekend is always the worst time). In the meantime, however, we need to be patient.
Still a big seller
For example, currently on Steam there are still two Fallouts in the top 10 of the best-selling games (Fallout 76 and Fallout 4), with many evidently discovering Tim Cain's series thanks to the Prime Gaming television series.
