Businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego attacked the government of the Fourth Transformation (4T) after in La Mañanera this Friday, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador accuse Banco Azteca for not returning millions of pesos from inactive individual accounts to the IMSS.
Salinas Pliego responded through his social networks. On her X account (formerly Twitter), she said that “The 4T wants to steal $45,000,000,000 “nothing more from the start… then next to these rats anyone is a suckling child”.
The businessman accused that “They want to take the capacity of all Mexicans because it is no longer enough… I told you!!!”.
This Friday, in his morning conference, President López Obrador stated that Grupo Salinas has the Afore Azteca that by Law, since 2020, has to transfer to IMSS a total of 1,847 million inactive individual accounts and only 19 million has returnedthat is, like 1% of the resources.
AMLO accused that TV Azteca It is part of the campaign against the pension reform for the use of inactive accounts of the Afores since has a conflict of interest as its owner is Salinas Pliego.
Also the director of Social Security, Zoé Robledo, exposed Banco Azteca for not restoring millions of pesos from inactive accounts.
“(Banco) Azteca, which has its own Afore, has returned 19.7 million pesos (…) The issue is that with this established methodology, and also with the way in which the retirement savings system itself has behaved, it which should have already been returned, are 9,360 million pesos in the case of Banorte; 1,800 million pesos and not the 19,000 that Azteca has returned,” said Robledo.
