The airports in Mexico City begin to suffer havoc due to the Heat wave that has hit the country's capital, which has forced several airlines to considerably reduce the weight of equipment when starting takeoff, preserving the security conditions necessary.
Recently, Aeroméxico announced that from now on it will have to restrict the weight of certain of its operations due to the “high temperatures” in the Mexico Citywhere they have registered more than 34 degrees, the historical maximum in the entity.

“Affected customers will be relocated to the first available flight”; Aeroméxico noted through its official social media accounts.
Unfortunately, the case of Mexico City is made more complicated by its altitudewhich means a lower density in airwhich is why the conditions are not very optimal for air operations that require adjustments in the weight that is authorized for the takeoff of their flights.
The captain and secretary of the Pilots Union Association (ASPA) of Mexico, José Alonso, argued that high temperatures reduce the density of the air, so the engines of their units require such air to compress it and expel it, in order to generate their displacement.
It is worth noting that before any flight, specialists carry out a calculation in which they consider the altitude, weather conditions and the maximum weight of an aircraft, in order to provide greater safety during the trip.
That is why José Alonso points out that the increase in temperature in Mexico City has caused them to have to return to the platform to calibrate weight conditions for takeoff.
