Fallout Shelter has quadrupled the proceeds thanks to the success of Amazon seriesgoing from around $20,000 to $80,000 in average daily revenue, while downloads tripled.
Numbers that should not be surprising, if we consider that Fallout 76 has set a record for players on Steam and Fallout 4 has reached third place in the global ranking of the Valve platform, in both cases in the wake of the enthusiasm towards the show available on Prime Video.
Returning to Fallout Shelter, the iOS version has come to occupy the seventh position in the top 10 of free games on the App Store: the highest result for the game since June 2018, when there was a boom due to the announcement of the release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
The words of the analysts
“The Fallout television series has received extremely positive reviews and has made fans happy,” said Rachit Moti, CEO of Layer, the company that carried out the findings. “While it's still early, we're already seeing an impact on how the games themselves have been received.”
“Although Fallout Shelter is almost ten years old, this dramatic growth demonstrates how relevant the mobile market is as an intellectual property expands into new mediums, such as cinema and TV.”
“It's no surprise then that the two Fallout games with live service elements, Fallout 76 and Fallout Shelter, have shown the most traction due to their tie-in efforts with new series-related outfits and characters.”
“It's important to remember that the series is still relatively new and that we will only see the full impact of this adaptation in the coming weeks.”
