From Finland comes the strange story of Alisa, an AV technician who has a passion for Alan Wake so big that it pushed her to buy 4000 copies of the first chapter of the series, only to then discover that not even one of them works.
The issue started from an ad on eBay, which offered 4,000 codes for downloading Alan Wake for sale, each printed on its own page. cardboard and all carefully packaged inside two boxes, with a total weight of 50 kg of concentrated videogame psychological horror.
The girl enthusiastically purchased the two packages from $240 in total, which arrived at their destination after about a month. The codes are all found on the official Microsoft and Remedy postcards, but the problem is that none of these work.
A fun idea, he says
Alisa has also contacted Microsoft customer support and is waiting to be able to resolve the problem, although it is unlikely that all 4000 codes will be suddenly activated.
Meanwhile, the image of this incredible package of Alan Wake codes was used to create a post about X in which it is presented as an “object of power”, quoting Control.
The question, of course, is “why buy 4,000 digital copies of Alan Wake?” To this, Alisa replied, “The short answer is because it's fun,” she explained, “the long answer is that I'm currently producing a fan videos on Alan Wake 2 inspired by the live action footage of this one, and as soon as I saw the advert for sale of 4000 Alan Wake download postcards I had a vision of a scene where I could use this absurd amount.”
“Once I do this, I'll probably cover my room with these postcards, because it seems like a fun thing to do. Also, I really like it a lot Alan Wake”. There is very little doubt about this, evidently.
