Nissan's 2024 on the Italian market starts off on the right foot. In fact, in the first three months of this year the sales of the Japanese brand in our country are grew by 16% compared to the same period of the previous year, for a market share that reached 2.8%. In terms of volumes, we're talking about 14,200 Nissan units sold in Italy in the first quarter of 2024.
Exponential growth Nissan
Surprising growth in the channel fleets, both in terms of volumes and share: over 6,000 cars registered by Nissan in this channel, for a +62% compared to the first quarter of 2023, and the relative share reaching 4%, up 1.7 points percentages. Regardless of the sales channel, the true driving force of the Japanese brand's business in Italy was the food segment crossovers: in the first three months of 2024 the weight of this model category on total Nissan sales reached 95%.
Electrification convinces
Electrification chapter: i electrified models they represented 77% of Nissan sales in the first quarter of the year, significantly higher than the average market values which stand at 45%. The growth in sales of the electric SUV coupé deserves mention in this sense Ariya: we are talking about +40% compared to the first quarter of last year.
From Juke to Qashqai
A look also at the other models: in the first three months of 2024, the crossover Juke it collected over 4,300 registrations, marking +70% compared to the same quarter of the previous year; remaining on the crossover theme, with over 7,000 units sold in the first three months of the year, Qashqai it was the best-selling C-SUV in Italy in March and in the entire January/March period. Finally, good too X-Trail, which with approximately 1,350 examples marketed in the first quarter of 2024 recorded growth of 96% compared to the same period of 2023.
