Florence: man dies after argument at Subsonica concert, man arrested
A man has been arrested on charges of manslaughter for the death of 47-year-old Antonio Morra from Pistoiapunched outside the Mandela Forum in Florence on Thursday evening, where it was taking place the Subsonica concert. The arrest was ordered by the prosecutor's office after a day of investigations by the police headquarters' flying squad; investigations which immediately focused on a group of porters, responsible for assembling the stage, with whom Morra allegedly had an altercation for reasons yet to be clarified.
According to an initial reconstruction, also based on the images taken by the facility's video surveillance cameras, the 47-year-old, he was on the external stairs when he apparently had an argument with a group of people, one of whom punched him, hitting him from behind, at head height. All nine people, who are workers responsible for assembling and dismantling the concert stage, were interviewed at length yesterday at the police station, by the prosecutor in charge of the investigation, Alessandro Piscitelli, and by the investigators of the Florentine flying squad.
The person against whom the Florence prosecutor's office arrested on charges of manslaughter and injuries is a 49-year-old man. IS these are his initials, he is an Italian citizen born in Verona, but resident in Florence.
