Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, presents a first trailer for the new Captain America at CinemaCon 2024. Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) takes up the shield and is the new hero all of America needs in Captain America: Brave New World.
This short begins with an image of the White House. Sam Wilson, the new Captain America enters the Oval Office and greets the new President of the United States, Thaddeus E. “Thunderbolt” Ross, played by Harrison Ford.
Let us remember that the role of the President was played by William Hurt, who died in 2022 due to prostate cancer, so Sam comments to Ford that he looks different, to which he replies that he removed his mustache or he would lose the elections and is trying to quit smoking.
Although not a fan of superheroes, Ross tells Sam to be Captain America and help him rebuild the Avengers. But Sam questions one of the main bosses behind the Sokovia Accords that were a factor in Captain America: Civil War.
Shortly after, the conversation is affected by a well-known villain from the Marvel Studios series, Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly), who tries to assassinate the President, so Sam fights him. To end the first preview, Ross tells Sam “You're not Steve Rogers”, to which he responds “You're right, I'm not”; At that moment, with his new Captain America armor and falcon wings, he leaves for Washington DC.
It is a fact that in the coming months we will see this trailer online, for now enjoy the new images that Marvel Studios shares.
Captain America: Brave New World is directed by Julius Onah and the cast includes Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler.
Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World is expected to be available on February 14, 2025.
