After the recent release of the new version of 'La Salvación', alongside Enrique Bunbury, Arde Bogotá visited 'La Resistencia' this Thursday. The Cartagena band, which will soon begin its tour of Mexico, but not before performing at Warm Up, had to answer the typical questions, but also talked about the historic confrontation that exists between Cartagena and Murcia. And it seems that the Region is one of the favorite topics of this program and on numerous occasions it has had a certain role in it.
It all started long before Antonio García, Dani Sánchez, Pepe Esteban and José Ángel Mercader set foot at the Príncipe Gran Vía Theater. The tweet with which the program announced that the band would be the guest that day already gave a clue that this was going to be one of the themes of the night. “Ah, you, but they are from Murcia, I didn't know,” wrote the 'La Resistencia' account. The response from the people of Cartagena was immediate: “Failure in geography and history.”
“Apart from Murcia itself, do those of Cartagena have any other conflict?” Broncano asked. «In general, with everyone. With Spain and with the world, if necessary,” the musicians answered, although they clarified that “not with La Unión.” «It is one of the most fighting places in Europe. They wanted to become independent from Spain, which I haven't forgotten,” said the presenter. “And he declared war on Germany,” said Dani Sánchez, information at which Broncano seemed surprised.
However, beyond the attacks typical of these two cities in the Region, the people of Cartagena also explained that the situation is different when they are away: “It is true that Cartagena and Murcia, whatever you want, but when we are away we always defend Murcia. Whether we are in Madrid, Albacete or Colombia. With Murcia only one can get in, the others can't get in. “We defend him from everyone else,” they explained.
— With Murcia only one Murcian can get involved, we defend ourselves from all the others.
A lot of rivalry between Murcia and Cartagena but BETWEEN THEM, then they take out the knife and pull on Murcian pride if you hesitate with their neighbors. They are the best.#The resistance @arde_bogota pic.twitter.com/NslW1rZw7Y

Furthermore, coincidentally, there was a resident of La Unión in the theater, who was asked what the relationship between the municipality and the capital was like. “Just like Cartagena,” he stated, while he assured that he is “friendly” with the port city.
